Our T56 cross member not only looks great, it is. ![]() The QuickTime bell housing that was required to attach the LS style T-56 to the SBC required a couple modifications to keep my long tube headers. This kit is designed to bolt a T56 into your F body Camaro or Firebird with only minor work to the tunnel. For proper alignment, this kit should be used in conjunction with LSX swap motor mounts. Only real issues were, for some reason once the transmission was installed the trans mount was about 1" to far back so I had to make some modifications to the cross member. This adjustable torque arm package includes the transmission crossmember for the installation of a LS1 (F-Body) based T56 transmission in to a 1982-1992 F-Body, along with Spohn's crossmember mounted adjustable torque arm. With help from Ryan at Hawks we put together a package that would work with my Gen 1 383 SBC instead of the LS this kit is set up for.
